Tailgate Window ?

Last night, my interior tailgate window switch stopped working. I took out the switch and checked it with a DMM, and it ohms out good. The tailgate windows works when I use the key switch.

BTW, I washed the hell out of the bottom of the rig after going muddin yesteday morning.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rob

New One

I've had a number of issues with my tailgate window, but that is a new one. I can't imagine what would be under the vehicle that would cause this problem. The last time my switch didn't work, it was the switch (after I had cleaned the console and detailed the switches and all the little grooves and stuff). I must have got something foreign inside it. If I pressed it repeatedly, it would eventually work. I ended up switching it out cause my key switch doesn't work at all.

This maybe a wild shot, but make sure that your rear wiper is seated correctly. It seems as though the window won't activate if the wiper is not in the resting position.

OK, I'm a duma$$, the window lock switch was pushed on the drivers side. I didn't know that affected the tailgate window. Thanks for the tips.

I am not quite sure that it does. I have had some trouble with mine as well. The lock for the rear window is next to the switch, so it should not be affected by the side window lock. I had the rear window lock off and the switch would not work. So I would kinda hit the switch alittle and it worked. I think that it may be a loose connection. You may want to check that out. :fireman:
