Hi,
My tailgate handle has become ineffective. In order for me to open the back I need to use one hand to lift up the handle, and use a 2nd hand to squeeze the right side of the handle - which does the trick. Sorry - its a bit tough to explain.
I have no idea where to start looking for the root of the problem. Has anyone else had this issue?

The bolts holding the handle to the mount inside the hatch are loose. It's a bear to squeese your hand in there, but a small socket wrench will do it. I did it on my 98, once, and never had the problem again. I'd offer more detail, but I can't recall what I had to do to access it.
