will a tcase out of a second gen Toyota fit on a 98 Tacoma? or do i need a plate. i want to make it passenger side drop and make it gear drivin.

 

I'm not 100 percent on this, but im almost certain you will need a plate. And I'm not sure anyone makes one. Martin crawler has a bunch of plates in their t case section but i think they are all for adapting various tranny to the rf1a gear driven t case from the 4 cylinder 1st gen.
