tacoma rear end swap!

tacoma rear end swap!
I was wondering if i can use a older style rear axle 3rd member in my tacoma rear axle housing, and what gears a 1997 tacoma with a five speed and 2.7L would be. (NON tacoma 3rdmember fit in TACOMA housing?)
