I have a 99 Taco that i put on Rancho quick-lift struts and a 1.5 add-a-leaf on. Rancho says that that lift will fit 33x10.5x15 tires. i went to 16's and put on 255\85r16s. now they rub a little ( a lot when softened and wheeling). the struts spec out to 1.75" of lift. how much more lift can i safely put on without reasonable fear of ripping my ball joints out? i was thinking a 3/4" spacer and a set of shackles for the back. any thoughts?

You should be fine up to 3 inches of total lift. After that your ball joints and CV's will start to hate life very quickly.

if i can run up to 3"s; i'm thinking about a 1" spacer and maybe some ome springs ( after 190k miles, mine are clapped out). should i put in a 1" or a 1.5" diff drop. the other problem i am having is that after i lifter it and got it aligned, it is still off (camber). are there any different cams out there that can be used to fix this? as i see it, i am all aligned out, and if i put another 1-1.25"s on, my alignment will never be right. maybe i am just going to a place that doesn't know what they are doing. thanks for the advise. i know a lot about the straight axled toys after 2 '85 runners, but this ifs stuff is killing me.

Take all of this with a grain of salt, as i'm not the say all end all of Tacoma knowledge:

If you go with OME springs, just order the topspacer built for them. That will net you around 2.5"-3". You wont want anymore than that. Diff drop, in my opinion, is completely useless. Dont waste your time or money. As for the alignment problem, that's just the nature of the beast. I've never had any of my trucks align out after spacer/springs were installed. They can get it fairly close but never where it needs to be. I just make sure to rotate them often. Best of luck to you!
