I just got my Surf yesterday and was about to go out for a drive this afternoon when she refused to move. I turned her on, put her in drive and released the hand-brake, nothing happened? It didn't want to move when the foot brake was relased. The only thing I noticed was a light on the dash reading "a/t p" anyone any idea why the thing won't move??

Also when I put her from drive back into park theres a few seconds when theres this clicking sound like shes not going back into park or something?!

is your transer case shifter in 4 LO?

you cannot put your AT in Park with the T-case in 4 LO.

Your's doesn't have that crazy lock-out where the brake pedal has to be fully depressed before you can shift, does it?

 

Thanks for the advice, my brother fixed it after explaining he had the same problem on his and it was just that the gear was not fully engaged!
