anyone ever mod on one of the old style grill emblems?

I've always like the Text instead of the swirly T and you seemed like the bunch that would have done it.

i think that looks good. it'd sure be dandy if someone has already done that and could give me the details. otherwise i just might have to do the homeowork myself.

i saw the picture of that japanese surf, but i'm wondering how exactly he did it.

 

I think he cut out the middle piece of a 96-98 grill, installed and painted a black mesh and grabbed the Toyota emblem from a landcruiser, not sure what year though.

 

I finally got off my lazy arse and bought a grille shell. Gimme a few months and I'll do that grille. If it looks bad, I'll go billet...
