Switch to V8 with stock transmission?

Switch to V8 with stock transmission?
I'm thinking of selling my JL audio sound system to help fund my V8 swap. I had the stock transmission until it recently burned up and was rebuilt. I want a V8 for more power, but I don't want to waste this couple grand I spend on the transmission to just buy a new one when I get a v8. Is there any Toyota V8 i can buy that can use my stock transmission?
Thanks.

I'm trying to follow Cebby cause so far he showed me the place to get a cheap v8. I'm kinda going with the one he's got so I'm not on my own cause I don't know jack about car engines and transmissions. Before I made this thread I already asked him the question. Haha I'm an idiot but here's what he told me I needed for my stock/rebuilt transmission to work with a Toyota V8:
bellhousing, torque converter, input shaft and oilpump from either an LS400 or Tundra/Sequoia/V8 Cruiser. The latter is a more durable solution. For the ECU, you can get a standalone unit or do something to fool the LS400 ECU so it isn't looking for the trans.
I think it should work.
Now, I gotta sell those JL's haha.

I've never seen any V8 swap that retained the Yota auto. Seems like a poor bet to me even with a weak V8. But you could sell the freshly rebuilt auto and get a 700R4 (if you do a Chevy swap)

Uh...so you say you dont know jack about engines and transmissions huh? And you plan on doing this yourself? If your going to pay a shop to do it, plan on spending tripple that.

I have a friend at NTI (Nascar Technical Institute) and a friend who has been a master mechanic for over 10 years. I plan to have their help if I can get the money to buy the parts.
