Just wondering, whats the deal with the recovery straps out the rear hitch? Never seen this before:

LINY said he did that bc it was tied to the hitch receiver to be/get pulled and so he just left it there and he liked the look though he has since then taken off the hitch...

haha I've never seen anyone drive around with there strap like that. When I go out to play around I take my strap and hook it to my recovery shackle adapter on my hitch, run the strap through the window and roll the window up so It pinches the strap kinda snug. This way if I get stuck or pull someone out all I do is roll the back window down and toss out the other end and im done cus my end is already connected. I have driven around like that a couple times maybe I'll take a pic the next time I do it.

Be carefull as in off camber situation you can have glass jam with very expensive repair. Last summer it cost me $400 to repair jammed sunroof because of that and I was lucky I didn't have to replace full assembly which is $1'800.

I don't roll it up all the way, just enough to make sure it wont go anywhere. Thanks for the heads up though, I never thought about it.

I left it hanging out ( ) during the huge snow storms we got during February. I found myself using it pretty frequently to pull small tress out of the road that had collapsed, as well as pulled a lot of people out of the snow with it. Tied one end around one of the tie down D rings in the cargo area, and let a little slack fall out the door. Much easier than putting it away in it's plastic carrying case after constant use. I just figured it'd be a way to let people know I was willing to lend a hand if they needed any help. Although only one person that I ended up pulling out mentioned seeing the strap before asking for help.

the groups I go wheeling with always do that before hitting the trails...it's easier to have it already hooked up than to be swimming around in 3 feet of water feeling around for the hook haha
