Well, looks like after talking to Mike at Extreme Off Road, I've decided to get the cash together and buy Sway-Away coilovers for the front of my 4Runner and OME shocks & springs for the rear. I was going to go with a complete kit from Sway-Away that's new but I'd rather go with the the proven Sway-Away/OME setup. Unless, of course, you guys think there's a better setup out there...I appreciate all the posts!!

MTL_Runner? What about you? I'm third on the list. I want these because I have added a S/C, 100 lbs of sliderz and I am about to add another 100 lbs of skid plates.

Turboale,

How much lift did the 882's and bilsteins give you? And, are they still together?

Consider them sold if MTL doesn't want them.

I actually was so excited to have them I didn't measure But they did sebtle a little from that "after" picture. There are a pletora of pictures on my site. I'm really sorry I didn't measure, but it just never really occured to me that I might need it. I couldn't measure when I put the downeys in because the TJM was already on.

--My site is down at the moment but it should be up soon.

Hey Guys,

Sorry didn't get back quickly.....I think the 881/891s are what I should be getting so Jim they are all yours. Thanks again for the offer Ausin and letting me have a crack at them! If anyone has any OME 881/891s (or OME shocks) they want to get rid of PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Just to let you know, the 891's are rears. If you're looking for the fronts, they're the 881's.

50 bucks is a great deal for those parts. Do yur self a huge favor and order the OME frim shocks, don't use the Bilsteins.

I am also going to caution you that even with the correct softer OME firm shocks, it probably will not do as well as you Daystars with the stock shocks, your getting a good deal of lift from the spacer outside of the pack which does not effect the firmness. Your going to a lift that is quite a bit firmer. Just a heads up.

Thanks Steve!

But. what do you mean by "not do as well" do you mean offroad? Will they be too stiff and limit travel too much?

They will be stiffer than what you have right now.

With the OME shocks it will be better. The Daystar top spacer gave your stock shock the extra lenght, so your not going to gain any travel.

Bascially your going to go from a spacer lift to a spring lift with the same results.

Just a heads up on what to expect. 50 bucks though is a great price for all that stuff.

Jim,

Does this mean that you'll be selling your Daystars? Let me know. I'm interested.

Maybe, they are only $100 new though. I plan on doing some testing with different configurations so I doubt I will sell them right away.

I will let you know if I want to.

Yeah, I know they're not that expensive, but right now the difference between new mods and no mods is very small. Every little bit helps.

I got the front OME's & Bilsteins today! I'll try to get them on this weekend? First I want to take some good pics of my current spacer lift, then some pics with the 882's so I can compare. I'll post pics.
