Suspension Package Help (lowering)

I have just decided to keep my 02 4runner limited for the rest of its life and decided i am going to mod it up. i am a long time reader and a new member. My goal for this truck is to make a rally style/on road truck. I plan on keeping my stock alloys. I have read a lot about the Bilstein/Performance Products 1" lowering springs/Addco sway bar package and i am seriously considering it. My concerns include:

- i read somewhere that the bilstiens counter act the lowering spring and the ride height does not change. I really only wanted better handling but i was wondering if anyone knew of any other options that might provide actual lowering.

- has anyone figured out a fix for the TRD exhaust rubbing on the addco rear sway bar problem? i already have the cat back and dont really want to get rid of it.

- i am also having trouble finding part #s if anyone can help.

Thanks for your time guys.

not to upset you, but why not just buy a car?

Try www.customtacos.com But seriously, why not get yourself a true rally car like a WRX/STi/Evo? Better gas mileage, better handling, better speed, better braking, etc.

I love my 4runner to much. the interior space and functionality of it. plus i dont really have $ to be buying another vehicle. Im not going to race it or anything. I just want something a little different looking.

the cost of modding adds up real quick... and does NOT help resale at ALL (you may think you want it forever now). If you really want a rally/sport spacious vehicle, why not look to an older wrx wagon? Not too much more dough... MUCH less than modding your 4runner to get 30% the handling and performance...

but if you have your reasons, go ahead I guess

if your not gonna help the guy....

seriously he isnt into rock crawling and he just want to upgrade the springs to get some better handling... 4runners are great relible and amazing in the winter but they are a suv and so the stock suspension isnt the most tight...

i like the look of a tasteful tuned 4runner just as much as i do a sweet offroader...

just keep the stock springs incase you want to sell..

maybe sell the trd and get a shop to do a custom exhaust?
