System 7.2 sits dead nuts level. That is why we made it.

o man... im getting that itch again... well it actually never stops. and its not crabs. its the itch to mod this gorgeous 4runner of mine. the spray paint on my BudBuilt skid and belly plates is drying as i type. I am ordering sliders in a week or two and that has me thinkin. am i going to want a body lift after i weld these on?

i am pretty sure i understand all the benefits (more space in wheel wells for stuffing, more room to work under truck, etc.) but i have not read enough CONSTRUCTIVE criticism on them.

i would probably only do 1 inch or MAYBE 1.5 because i read that these involve few complications.

there are profile pics in the opening post. I would just like to know some of your opinions. to body lift or not to body lift?

thanks!

I would not do a body lift unless you "have to". The only reasons you would have to is to fit actual 35" tires or a Marlin Crawler, dual case setup.

If you don't plan on re-gearing, which you will have to do with 35's leave it on the frame, all the little stuff to fix is a very long and expensive list.

Sliders, Skids and Lockers all make sense to me.

it depends on how much crap you take when you put the bigger tires and lift in use (a.k.a. go off-roading). i carry about 300lbs of extra weight when i go out, with the SS1.2, the rear is dead level. i can bet on if yours is level empty, it will sag when load up.

my 0.02

i would find a shop to cut a 3" or 4" hole on the bud skid before you put it on, i did it and it makes a big difference when changing the oil. the shop i know pretty well won't do my unless i had a hole for the oil drain because the shop owner didn't want the mechanic got hurt while wrestling that 50lb beast. that's the down side of having something beefy as a budskid. he.he..

and, if you want sliders, steve carries Stubb's, i just had the newly designed HD-SKO, i really really like it, specially the way the kickout was layed out.

it comes with all the 4 legs cut to length for your model/year, scab plates also welded, all the metal surface buffered to a chrome shine. all left for you is to paint it then weld on to the frame. for me, it's the best i've seen so far.
