Supercharger : Place to buy

I have a friend with a 04 3.4 Double Cab Taco. He is looking for a supercharger for it. I got mine for free out of a junk yard, but I had the guy looking for one for about a year before one finally came in.

We were searching ebay but I dont see anything great. I remember URD used to sell the entire kit, supercharger with urd fuel upgrades for like 2000-2200 bucks or something.

Anyway, anyone know where to pick up up for a good price?

yeah, trdparts4u.com seems to have the best prices, any chance you could get one for me for free out the junkyard too?

hmm 1899.00 I can find em new for 1500-1600. I guess I'm just a little spoiled by my deal hehe....

I just cant justify 1600 dollars to him. The power increase is noticible but not "impressive" I wouldnt pay 1600 for JUST the supercharger. Even when I was installing mine I was holding it, scratching my head and saying "2000 dollars?"

Maybe if that number included the 7th inj or fuel upgrades.

Maybe Gadget has one laying around that he could throw the URD fuel upgrades in with? Heheh

Or maybe a groupbuy? Seems like something some people would be interested in, seems like a good use of that tax return

My co-worker's husband is a regional sales director for Toyota. He gets parts at 10% above dealer cost and the supercharger cost more from him than trdparts4u. Good luck on a cheaper deal but if I spent this much, I'd at least want to know that I bought it from a dealer.

I bought my s/c'r from trdpart4u.com at $1,899. To me this is very good price. The URD fuel kit will unlash the potenial of the TRD s/c'r. I just fitted the fuel kit few days ago & will tune it up on a chassis dyno next week. Thanks to all in YotaTech, I get loads of very useful resources here.

I agree and you don't have to worry about any "Ebay issues" or warranty either.
Besides, I have worked with those folks before and couldn't have asked for better customer service.

Anyone got any vids of the supercharger in action? Does it make the normal supercharger "whine"?
