Supercharger
#1
I am going to be towing a boat that meets almost to the pound the towing capacity of my 4Runner. I am concerned that I am not going to have enough power, so I am considering putting on a supercharger. I have some questions about that. I know nothing about engines or this kind of work, could I go to a toyota dealer to have this done, or is that like flushing money down the toilet. Or should I go to a speciality shop, if that's the case any one know of a good one on Long Island, New York. Any advice here would be appreciated.

If you don't know much about engines, yes you can have the dealer install it, it won't be that expensive if you get quotes from different dealers. Just make sure you trust the dealer so they do everything right. You'll also need some fuel mods if you plan to tow 5000 lbs using that supercharger, so look into the URD kit or the TRD 7th injector.
Your best bet at this point would be to search, there is waaaaaay many topics on this, I'll guarantee you'll find the answers that way.
