Supercharger Is On!!!!

Well the time has come and the charger is on!!! Nothing sounds better than that whirling in the engine compartment!! Boost gauge did not go on as parts were missing from the kit. Anyhow, just wanted to give you guys an update! Also put on my spare tire mount and hi-lift mount. I have attached a few pictures!

Have a great one!

Hey for those of you who installed your own chargers, did any of you have the EGR gasket sent to you by TRD upside down? Once everything was installed and we started the motor we had a severe leak...well it ended up being the gasket where the EGR valve would have been (there is a plate over it) anyhow it was upside down, but when we turned it right side up it did not fit! So we ended up trimming the gasket and now no leak...I thought it was weird though...anyone else experience that??

Looks very cool! I like the look of a supercharger under the hood of a 4Runner. Sweet. I just wish that they would make a 2nd gen one! Very cool. Thanks for the pictures and have fun driving that beast around! :fireman:

Well done.....I installed mine last weekend. I had to go back to my stock air-box as the Ingen intake I was using was dumping too much air into the engine cause fuel starvation.

XtremeOff-Road,

When you received your Supercharger, did it come with the Tensioner kit?...when I got mine 2 yrs. ago (from the dealership), it did not have this part. I heard that when you buy a charger nowadays, it comes with one.

Damn, do you eat off that engine? That is the cleanest engine I have seen for a truck that actually goes off road. Are you using the CD2 stuff or something else?

Congrats on the supercharger install - must be a great feeling to do that yourself.

LOL hey thanks, actually I use "simple green" on the engine and then spray it down with water. The plastic is just armor all'd (I do not think I spelled that right, however, I think you know what I am referring to" It really needed it from my last little run with Steve...mental note to self, know how deep water is before entering. If it not good when what runs up and over the hood :^)

Total sweetness. Man do I have SC envy. Everytime I go the Burien Toyota Performance store here in WA I have to pet the one sitting on display like its a cat or something.

I noticed all that space in there too. Is the engine compartment larger than the 2nd gen or is the 3.4 dimensionally smaller than the 3.0. It looks like you could fit th I-Force V-8 in there!

LOL ya you should have...as long as you are not offended by the occasional outburst of me cursing why figure 30 does not match what they are talking about
