i've got two 4runners and the roof quit shutting on both.90 and 92.

 

this happend on my 94... the little plastic saftey button broke. take it apart, and cut the plastic tab out. basicly by-passing the secondary saftey button. i did my in the parking lot of my school before i needed to goto class. i could hear the motor running when i tryed to opening it, it just wouldnt shut.

 

i think i remember a screw on my old '91 4Runner under the flap next to the switches that would allow you to manually open/close the sunroof. I know there isn't one on the 3rd gens, but i think there was on the 2nd gens.

 

i do appreciate the saftey button info ,didn't even think about that.

 

"fixed" them both thanks. Bypass the little ass. works like new.
