Took the 94 Runner to the dealership for the injector cleaning/servicing. Drove around to do some quick errands and parked it in the garage.

Came back into the garage a couple of hours later and notice a pretty strong chemical smell (injector cleaner?). The smell seems to be coming from the engine block and not the tailpipe. Is this normal? The reason I ask is because I have had the Corolla serviced there for an injector cleaning and I don't remember smelling that strong smell afterwards...

Has anyone had the same thing happen to them?

its probably just burning off the rest of the cleaner in it... i did seafoam to my truck once and it smoked for like 2 hours afterwards.......

 

Thanks JIMABENA74 - I think you're right... I thought it was interesting that the smell was coming from under the hood, I just assumed that any fumes from the injector cleaner would have been thrown out the tailpipe...
