Good news! Shame about the O2 sensor though.

great news to hear you got the 4runner back...they were definitely some amateurs it sounds like...you are lucky to have all your drivetrain and running gear...usually thats the first thing that goes when they take a built rig like that...

over in Cali quite a few trucks are being found just outside the city in the bushes/washes but generally stripped of dual tcases, 3rds, axles...etc

Wow... you got lucky, glad to hear you got it back, at least the damage is all fixable stuff. I'm going to install a kill switch on my 4runner this weekend.

FYI- I had to hotwire my POS 87 hilux after losing the keys. It took my about 5 minutes with a drill, and phillips head screw driver. With some practice I'm sure much quicker so EVERYONE should install a kill switch!!!

the ignition switches in the 84-88 suck... you can start them with a flatblade screwdriver..... i used to do it with my truck..... eventually i replaced the tumbler, and every once and awhile i mess up and the old 20 year old key starts my truck.... not the new one in thats supposed to turn it... the new one is actually even a has a security slit in it, but the old one still starts it, it jsut kinda sticks when i go to take it out....

Simply cut fuel delivery and it can't be driven. I have a relay switch to my fuel pump that's hidden inside;that alone will prevent common thieves from moving the vehicle and would only have time to swipe what was inside.

glad to hear you got it back! What a relief it must be even though its torn up. Im definately going to install a fuel pump cutoff switch on my 00, just have to figure out all the wiring, and make it compatible with my remote start.

Glad to hear that you got your rig back. The guys that took your truck deserve to be kicked 10000000000000000 times in the nuts and then some.
Hope you can restore everything back to normal.
Does your insurance cover this?
