Stock Bumpers

I'm looking to sell my runner and someone has offered to trade me his stock bumper and some cash for my tube bumper, I'm thinking the stock bumper will help me sell it a bit easier but the thing is that his bumper is from a limited, and mine is an SR5, so how will that work/look? Can the little parts of the fender flare that extend over onto the limited bumper be removed?

.............. Didn't read the post right.

The fender flares can be removed but the holes will remain.

I can confirm the removal of the flair ends. I found a Limited bumper for a 98 which had the fog lights in the lower valance. It also had the limited flair ends. Just removed them cleaned up the dirt marks,

Then back to the wrecking yard to find stove bolts off another rig. You can plug the holes one of two ways, find a local hardware store that carries chrome stove bolts. They have the square shank with the dome head.

I also found some that worked that came off an Izuzu Trooper front bumper. I was only able to find the larger bolts. when you pull them they have a backing washer that is plastic and square.

When you pull them be sure to get that plastic backing spacer and back nuts.

What I ended up doing with the bolts is seeing how they are solid chrome, I just filed/grinded the square shank so it was round and the same diameter as the rest of the bolt.

They slipped right in and I just tightened up the nuts.

The hard ones to find are going to be ones for the small holes the larger holes are a snap. I'm still trying to find the smaller ones but I know they are out there. After install, they look as if they were made for it. Good luck
