I love these intermittent problems...

Every once and a while, the stereo will shut off and any of the buttons I push no longer make a "beep" noise (I have the Nav system which has the stereo controls built into the screen).

Turning the stereo off and back on does not fix the problem. I need to stop the engine and restart it. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on what it could be?

I wouldn't even hesitate to take it back to the dealership.

Well you know what they are going to say...
"The stereo is fine because we couldn't reproduce the problem".

Arghh

 

Disconnect your battery to reset everything.

 

Well this is interesting....Cuz My father has a 98 BMW 740il that have problems with the seat memory system. When I making first appointment to fix this problem, one of representive guy said " It is about time to get a new 2003 BMW 745" He bragging about how 2003 model is better then 98. Well I said, " That's not your decision to make and I think 98 still in good shape. So I'm gonna keep this for a LONG TIME, ALRIGHT?"

At the dealership, the machnic guy told me that cuz the washer pump's fuse blowed up causing memory seat, interior dim light and of course washer pump not working. brought that car several time to fix it. But happens again. And then they says "When we try to fix it but we couldn't reproduce the problem."

The last time I went to the BMW dealer to collect my father's car, b4 I leave I tested all the problem this car had. The first my mouth said " ˟˟˟˟˟ing Hell" arrrr... Sorry my language. It seem nothing fixed. So ran into the dealer and I yelled at them for improper work done. There first word.." Humm interesting" " It is too late to work, bring your car next appointment" Then I started to saying I brought this car to fix it and you wasting my time. They said as showing paper.." We didn't charge you anying, and if u really wanna fix it, leave your car here 2 weeks and if we found any, we will fix it"

Well I had enough with that dealer. You lost potential futher buyer. So I told my father that DO NOT BUY ANOTHER BMW FROM THAT DEALER. Maybe it is time to get like ACURA RL or LEXUS.

Sorry for all the sudden outburst and posting someone else topic. But I have to vent.
