Stereo Install Q's

After getting my system installed on friday, they didn't have time to finishe the rear door speakers. Today I went in to get the rear speakers installed, but they couldnt get it to fit. (5 1/4) I left there with no rear speakers, I still have the factorys I hate it!, when I turn it up I can hear the rear speakers distort. Well I plan on installing the rear speakers myself, what do I have to do to fit the 5 1/4 speakers in the rear doors. Does anybody have any pics of their install, please post thanks guys!

Hi,
I guess you have a few options...

1) Don't use rear speakers ( I don't, a good # of people don't either -- it's all preference).
2) What is the fit problem? Is the magnet too deep or is the cone too wide?

From what I've read on here, in order to get 5 1/4" speakers back there it's not too hard--you just have to trim off/Dremel off some of that black plastic bracket that holds the factory speaker in there to make your aftermarket speaker fit....

See Steve's write-up here for the back doors.
