Steering Wheel Wear

The top of my steering wheel is starting to wear out? How can I slow down the wear without having to put a cover on it?

Magic? Seriously I don't think you can, maybe you could wear silk gloves but you need to just shell out for a Wheelskins cover, I'm getting one.

Had the same problem a couple summers ago. When I went to college the town I live in got up to 110 degrees in the summer, which means inside my black yota I was hitting 130 or more, my steering wheel was just disintergrating in my hand, especially when a flipped a U, I finally just bought a wheel cover that matched the interior, problem fixed except it kinda stunk the first couple days....cheap vinyl or something...

There's nothing you can really do. Try getting a wheelskin cover. I have a tan interioir but got black. Looks good and feels better because it was slightly beefier with it on. It is made out of leather and you sew it on yourself. www.wheelskins.com

Mine was getting the color coming off, so I hit it with some vinyl dye (SEM spray)

just replace the wheel with one of those chrome chain abominations!

Then you just have to worry about the chrome flaking off, oh and the 3rd degree burns after a day in the sun. but your bling factor will be way up there!

I think it was Corey that posted a link to a steering wheel cover that looked pretty awesome...anybody wanna hook us up with this?

Mine's starting to get down to the insides of the steering wheel, white fluffy stuff or something...kinda weird.
