Question Stabilizer bar endlinks: how tight?

I needed to install new endlink assemblies on the front stabilizer bar of my 1996 4Runner SR5 4WD. My question is, how tight should the nut that holds the bushings against the bar be (Toyota couldn't/wouldn't tell me)?

I drove around for two days without the endlinks connected, and now that they are, the steering/handling feels very different.

Well, you want them to be REALLY tight so that you get maximum efficiency from the anti-rollbar. The torque specification for that upper nut is 16 in/lbs. Note that is INCH pounds and not FOOT pounds.

Hope this helps.
