thought about the led tails, but i have other things that are further up on my to do list, but they are nice looking! i had some clear corners and didn't like them, so i modified my stock corners and put a double filament bulb and socket in it so i could have my running lights and turn signals there. i think i may be in the minority here but i like the amber in the corners, but definitely not the amber bumper lights. i did buy the clear bumper lenses, i liked them and then got to tinkering and ended up going "blacked out". not that i love that look, i would love something with a smoked color like some for the '99+ bumpers but all they offer are the clear ones, not even the crystal clear look like Jason Burtman used to have, i'd even take those over the ebay stuff. i'll keep looking though.

oh yeah, i did get your message a few weeks ago on cardomain, i just never get on there much ( a few times a year in fact ) so i didn't respond, but thanks for the props on there as well.

now i just need my hi-lift jack in case i need to change a tire this winter, that bottle jack isn't gonna cut it
and you can really see that i'm missing the trim pieces under the headlights, getting those repainted when i have the new hood painted next week so all will be pretty again.

Looks good, bro. Time for some 33's.

Those Tacoma wheels don't look bad, since you've got no fender flares. Sits pretty flush with the body, it seems.

No kidding, is there an ice-skate mod?

I still haven't cleaned my driveway all the way off from that ice storm.

yep, the snow is nice but the ice is a real PITA! that was a pic at my former job and they didn't plow between two big ice storms and snow, so in spots it was about 3 inches deep or more. made for a cool pic.

my dad bailed pretty hard last week and broke his arm while shoveling the last bit of snow at the bottom of the driveway. all this warm up and melt, then freeze at night is killing me!

yeah, i had to splurge for the lift while i had access to a free shop and tools at work. but now that i'm out of a job i'm having second thoughts about spending the money, that is, until i look at my 4runner and it's all better again

thanks for the kind words.

Patty, looks gr8. I think that is the style of lift I would like to do to my 98'. Have to save up for that. Looks like the system 7 is what I need for my truck. I did a corner upgrade as well. You may have seen my write up for it in the Tech section under electrical. Here is the link: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f127...unners-132969/

I have the OEM corners with the amber sides, so that puts two of us in that minority! I opted to use 194 bulbs and sockets from the 82-83 Honda Accords instead of going to a dual element lamp. Was going to be too involved in drilling and setting the new sockets so they would be in correct alignment. The Honda corner sockets were chosen as they are a rubber grommet style socket. No need for fancy cuts to twist lock the sockets. Just had to drill a 9/16ths" hole in the corner lights just above the stock marker lamp socket. They just push in and seal right up. Amber bulbs can be purchased as well but I am considering going with LED lamps for all my front and rear lamps. Wiring in the Honda sockets was a piece of cake. Took me all of about 2 hours including taking the pictures.

All in all a very nice looking suspension mod. I really like it! Looking forward to seeing your scooped hood too! Would love to find a 2002 scooped hood for my '98.
