Split Second ESC1 Install Prep
Ok, for all those that have experience with this unit, I recently purchased a SS-ESC1 and will be installing it this Wednesday. I was wondering if there were any installation hiccups I should know about?
1) More importantly though, where did you folks mount the unit? Should I put it behind the firewall, or should I just mount it in the engine bay?
-I asked the techs at SS and they said the box was sealed and water tight, but that the unit should not be exposed to extreme heat. They also said that the vacuum hose that they include (which must be attached to the boost port I assume) is only 5 inches long, that this can be lengthened but it is a better idea to keep this hose as short as possible. Hmmmm....
2) Also, as I have a 96 4Runner, does anyone have a wiring diagram or better yet pictures of the connections (wires and color) that I need to make with the EGO sensors?
I'm very excited to get this unit in, but preparation is everything!! Any help at all would be much appreciated,
Brad
