Anyone know why this is happening? It wiggles back and forth when I am driving. Is something lose? Do I need to replace it?

Its not a slight wiggle, its gots some serious wiggling to it

Any ideas/thoughts appreciated,

Same thing I need to do....replace the speedo cable. I believe mine got oily from a leaky transfer case seal and attracted a lot of dirt.

Is the speedo cable easy to replace?

If it involves tearing into the dash, it's not easy. I had the same problem several years ago. I can't remember the cost, but it wasn't dirt cheap. Upside was I got a new dash cluster out of the deal. The shop that did the work cracked the old housing. After that the needle stayed where it should, but the rest of the display moved.
