Is it for 99-02 models only? Cuz I made one that looks really tight.

No I didn't make one like physically, I meant on the site where you order it. It had a trd symbol on the right gauge (speedo) and a huge eastern dragon on the left side.

you know this probably isn't going to help you out too much, but I thought I would chip in my two cents. I bought the indiglo gauges off of Ebay for the 99-00 4Runners. They included the white face gauges for the the center four sections. and while the symbols don't match up, you can still see them lit up underneath the gauges when the do lit up. They switch b/w blue and green as well. I got the kit for $30. If you wanted decals, a decal shop could make it for you for like $10, and you would end up saving like $100.00 from speedhuts price, with very little to no inconvienence.

about those off of eBay, the auction claims that all warning lights will work as original. this is false. i even contacted the seller and all i was told was, don't buy them then. the symbols not matching is not really a big deal; at least not until u have to have the emissions tested. i live in MD and the emissions test requires the "Check Engine" light to be visible. w/ these gauges, it is not; therefore, failing my vehicle. now while these gauges look nice, it's a pain in the a$$ to have to remove the 1 face when i need to get my vehicle inspected. i'm still holding out for the Speedhut Gauges.

The Speedhut gauges are "reverse" indiglos. The ones offered on Ebay for '99+ are not. That's the big differance that people are waiting for.

why is it that Speedhut says "-Model Development Program. If you're committed to making your car a reality and feel you can get others (15-20) committed check out our Model Development Program," but when u go to order, they say 20 is needed?

does anyone know if you can cut into the gauges? I have a 97, so I have another rectangular opening for the odo as well as the tripmeter so I'd need to cut another opening. I emailed speedhut, but they never responded...

That's strange that SpeedHut didn't respond, they usually do. Try 'em again.

DuB:

The '99+ gauges will physically fit, but won't be acurate. I believe the warning lights are alittle different plus the tach and speedo increment are not aligned the same. I compared the two a couple of years ago.

I spoke with SpeedHut and tried to strike a deal since we just can not break sixteen. Long story short is no dice. Twenty or nothing.

We are up to 17 now. I guess it will take another 6 months for them to get ordered...

We need a lousy 3 more people...

I don't really care for the reverse "halo" indiglos on Ebay. They look too cheezy...
