spark plug wire locks??

Hey guys,

I have some NGK wires that I really like on the runner, blue with silicone heads. Problem is the silicone leads on these keep slipping out of the distributor and I constantly have to plug ithe wires back in.

My question is this: are there locks like the toyota wires have on them available to use on other wires or are they only available as integrated units on the toyota wires?

I have them cable tied right now, but that's a little ghetto.

LMK if you have a solution.......

Mike

i say the zipties is cool, the clip thing on my explorer actually broke pff before, i ziptied it on... lasted for several years that way ... i dont think those clip things are going to be on aftermarket wires that are not OEM

take a razor and trim off the little tabs on the distributor cap. this will allow a seal on the spark plug wire boot and the d/cap.

Are the ones on the Toyota wires removeable/reuseable or are they molded in to the wire? The zip ties are only working ok for me, not really that great.

I'll look at cutting the dist. cap.
