I have a 1988 4runner. when i stick the jack handle extension into the hole to lower the tire no matter which way i turn it i cant get it to move i even squirted some of that as seen on tv super lubricant in the hole and still no luck i did not have any luck using a pipe for torque either. How can i get my spare off?????????? please help thanks steven

 

you may have a small stone jammed in the mechanism, crawl under and take a look. if you cant dislodge it, you may have to cut the chain to drop the spare. make sure you brace it somehow, be emabarassing to explain the wheel lettering/spoke pattern imprint on your forehead at work the next day!
