Sound Deadening... This stuff works!!
Hey all-
I have been toying with the idea of putting a sub in the rear compartment of my tacoma. I have read numerous postings here and other places on what's and what nots. My main concer was sealing and dampening the sound inside the compartment. Per a recommendation from a posting here on Yotatech, partsexpress.com carries a line of sound deadening spray made by Cascade audio engineering, called quite coat. If anyone is needing an excellent and very cost effective method over dynamat... USE THIS STUFF. $14 for a spray can that covers a full door panel. The sub enclosure was a huge success and sounds great. I used a 10" pioneer and MTX amp that I had from my 4runner system. For a general idea search "stealth plate" and check the results. A few others have done this as well. I'll post pics as soon as the wife gets home from Minnesota with the D Cam.

Cool. Do you think this stuff would work well being sprayed onto the engine side of the firewall as well as under the truck to cut back on engine and road noise in the cab?
