so i had a wreck

so i had a wreck today in my 4runner. i will try and post pics later whenever i can find my camera cord, but my front driver side tire/wheel is pushed at angle. i was wondering how much money it will cost to fix/replace? also how to tell if the truck is totaled? sorry about the no pics right now. i know they would help.

Sorry to hear about that. What exactly happened (it will help others imagine what kind of damage there is, without pics and all)? Make sure the frame isn't bent or creased. Check all places where the wheel is attached to. What year etc.. is your 4runner?

sorry about the wreck....I had one in my first 2nd gen and it seemed fine but the frame was bent and it totaled it. It just depends. And for price pics would be needed to see what's going on under there.

i did the same thing a couple months back. girl in an audi hit me dead center on the tire. i litterally had minor damage from it though. couple scuffs on the wheel and sheared bolts on the lower part of the axle (around the brake area; anybody know what its called?) my wheel was pushed in at an odd angle as well. had it towed home, replaced the bolts with OEM ones and she was good as new.

dunno if thats similar at all to your situation but thought it might be of some help. best of luck to ya!!

Glad to hear it was only the A-arm and rim [more or less]... you got lucky...
