Measured off the trip odo
Thanks for this. I have a couple of points...

Measuring off the trip odo will be inaccurate with your 265/75's. Given standard gearing, the trip ODO is 3% off with 265/75 tires. Please check the accuracy by measuring along with a highway milemarker over an extended course - at least 2 miles.

This happened to me when I moved to 265/75 tires. My speedometer is now dead on (it was off before), but now my odometer is off. I've verified this against highway mile markers and a GPS unit through a 5 mile stretch.

Also, with the trip ODO, you're looking at judging 2.5 10ths to get a 1/4 mile. That in itself isn't that accurate.

And, did the buddy have a stopwatch, use the sweep second hand of a watch, or counting blinking colons? We're talking about the difference of 3 seconds or so, and it's easy to get distracted.

Thanks for putting up with all this Biff.

Hey, first of all, that is a gorgeous s-runner you have. I have always wanted one but need the 4wd. Look into adding Gadget's kit to it (www.urdusa.com), would give you another 50-60 hp. I have seen a couple s-runners run 13.9's, so there is still a lot of room for improvement. Regardless, one damn nice ride...I love those little fu**ers.

I thinks its just a 2wd X-Cab Tacoma with the 3.4 V6 5spd, body kit, colored keyed body and a tuned suspension.

12.9,I'm impressed and the 60' time is right on par with my AWD Eclipse,I just wish I had a run at sea level in it before I sold it.

How big a shot of funny fog did you use and what's it run off the bottle?

i used to run side by side with awd eclispes on the street all the time...they were the only imports that could keep up with me out of the hole....i was spraying a good 100 shot on the 12.9 run, off the bottle the best time i got at the track was a 14.7

Q: Were you running your 4runner in 4wd? BTW, that's one damn quick 4Runner.

I just wanted to say that this is the same result I have with the same sized tires. Makes a diff when you calculate gas mileage too, you have to account for the diff in mileage that your gauge did not register.
