there she is, in all her beauty... doing the install on fri!

the longer small piece (if that makes sense) is the Taco tube adapter part.

Cool. Who here has added one of these to a rig with a body lift, and what did you do to make up for the lower air box?

I know Lee (Firefighter_EMT) added one to his 2nd Gen, and I believe he had a 1" body lift as well.

Pssst.. Lookie here



BTW, no body lift.. maybe a SAS in the future if I keep her around.

But there is no changes needed if the truck has a body lift

Is the late model airbox mounted on the frame? I thought they still mounted them on the inner fender...

you're right Shane, it's in the fender... I just BL'd my rig last night, and it moved the intake up with it. should be no problem!

I take it that means you got the steering extension in? You gonna post pics of the BL or wait until the snorkel is on/in and do both at the same time?

gonna wait for the snorkel, and to borrow a friends digi.

Sorry for bumping an extremely old thread...

I'm looking to install a safari snorkel on a 97 4Runner.
Just to make sure- I will be purchasing a Tacoma Safari Snorkel and then I will need some sort of adapter as well correct?

What is this adapter?

yes the tacoma is the correct snorkel. there is a write up for the taco snorkel on our 3rd gens

you dont need an adapter, you just need a longer piece of flexy tube.
