Slight Backfire/Misfire at Startup

Slight Backfire/Misfire at Startup
History: 99 4Runner SR5, 3.4 2WD, Auto
About a year or so, have had some starter trouble, just clicks, but eventually starts. Problem will come and go.
3 months ago had a P0301, cleaned out MAF sensor, IAC valve and throttle body.
Then replaced fuel filter, all 6 plugs, wires, Cylinder #1 Coil Pack and Cyl#1 Fuel Injector. Problem fixed.
Problem: About a month ago, starter is CONSISTENTLY trouble! Just Clicks and/or, at times, will have a slight slight backfire with a mild misfire feeling/sound.
No Codes have been banked. I do have new contacts for the starter, will replace them within the next week, time permitting.
Also, just passed smog 3 days ago with flying colors.
Question: Any ideas regarding the backfire/misfire? Troubleshooting?
