Here is my avatar loaded. Finally got a chnace to take a pic of my boys on a sunny day. The older one is Mojo (hence Mojo9) - 20 months samoyed, and the younger one is Moby 4 months.

Another thing you can do to speed up the pages here is to go into your Control Panel and look for the option to turn off avatars from the members.

I just turned off that feature a bit ago, and the pages loaded quicker, even with cable.
I bet for dialup it will load much better.

Of course you won't see the avatars though.
Someone with a dialup account should try this and report back if it helped out quite a bit by disabling the avatars or not.

By that last option above, you can even turn off all the pics that are insterted in a post, and that will really speed up a dial up account.
The pics that are inserted will become a clickable link instead.
That alone would really speed up a dialup account for sure.

Smilies will still show up, but no inserted pics.
