If you guys just knew the way people drove in Korea...!

the mirror over the driver side fender is pretty standard in Japanese models, if I remember correctly.

Yep, all largish vehicles for the domestic Japanese market have them on the passenger side wing (fender) it gives a view of the wheel-arch area to assist in parking in very tight spaces

Will also work well fro whel placement on trails as you can see your passenger wheel from the driver seat. They released a lot of LCs in SOuth Africa with a mirror like that, actually is pretty cool once you see it in action. (looks stupid though)
