seriously though, bobsr5 has a write up on his website that explains the ˟˟˟˟oshi grill mod (i may be off on the name but it's close enough). if i weren't so lazy, i'd consider it for mine (though i'd use different mesh material)(maybe chicken wire ). it's a good write-up with pics and everything.

the ARB is getting painted to match my trim color. In the mean time I have been looking at the grill unsure. I know about the satoshi mod and the billet-style grilles. maybe i'll get an 01-02 grill and paint in sunfire red???

It's a 2nd gen, but I primed/painted all the bits up front black, including the valance and side light surrounds. Here's a shot...I dig it.

ill take a pic when i gte home. i bought some very nice stiff mesh from a rice shop for 40 bucks that was the perfect size for my old 96 shell. i drilled holes and then wired the mesh in. i made a mold out of foam and pushed the mesh out towards the truck so it has a nice roung look. i then installed a 2002 emblem black pearl status by drilling the screws into the back untill the tubes started to crack a bit so they held in the mesh. to finish it i did a quick run around of the three mounting points on the emblem to the frame of the grill with very thin fishing wire. it looks awesome but on the sides it looks kinda ghetto but that is covered up by the grill guard
