Should i buy this!?!?! and how much to fix a bumper?

okay... this thing is SWEET! It looks so nice and I drove 2 hours today to test drive it because it's the first i've seen around me that is exactly what i want. 2002 sport edition all black.

there's the ad, and everything is all good except on the front bumper you can't see it very good in the pics but in person it's very noticeable, is some dents and scratches. and there are a few scratches and fading spots along the bumper but i guess that is to be expected.

i was wondering if you guys knew about how much it would take to make those dents and scratches go away?

also, the final out the door price the dealer came up with was 16,800. i thought that was pretty steep. the final price they came to was about 15,700, and i told them that i saw the value was around 15,400 but they wouldn't come down.

so what do you guys think? is 16,800 too much?

The link doesn't work, but I just bought a 2002 4x4 sport with 87K for $11,300. I had the dealer put a timing belt, three accessory belts and an oil change before I accepted the deal. Car fax showed no accidients, one owner. Zero rust, non-smoker. It included all owners manuals and the original window sticker. It will need tires in a year but that's it.

If you want it and have money, make a straight up cash today deal, that should get them down. If you need to finance go through your bank, and do the same thing, but pay them with a check from your bank.

Bumper shouldnt be hard to fix, if at worst you buy one its only a few bolts to unbolt it.

On my 97 when i was working on my tube offroad bumper, each day we went to work on it we took of the bumper and slapped it back on at the end of the day.

Sometimes dealers can get good deals on financing. We settled on a price then I told him I would have to finance 9k. He got me into a credit union with a rate of 5%, I thought that was really good for a 6 year old used car.
