Does anyone have any tips or advice for changing all 4 shocks on a 3rd generation 4runner?

Also, is there any type of lift that I could do at the same time that does not require anything else to be changed? And would anyone recommend for or against this?

I don't want to do a lift that will cause me to go out and start buying a bunch of parts etc...Not until I get the 4runner I want......this one's temporary.

Sorry, I don't yet have alot of knowledge on this stuff......
