Shock Replacement Time??

Ok...so I just did the "jump test" on my Tacoma.

I got on the rear bumper and jumped up and down a few times, almost bottomed out the truck I think, and when I get off the truck went up and down another time or so before stopping. The same thing occurred in the front minus the bottoming out.

Does this mean I need new shocks? What about my springs and leafs in the rear?

If I need new shocks what should I go with to maintain around stock ride height? Maybe a little higher but I don't want to break a CV Joint or anything like that!

I read bamachem's post...

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/n...4runner-41848/

But this is for 4Runners and I have a 99Tacoma TRD SR5. I don't know how much is relevant or if it will even work on my truck as I don't have a front locker.

Thanks guys!!

I've been looking at Old Man Emu and such but I've read that those springs and such aren't exactly made for Tacos and Runners, but for the Prado.

I'm a little nervous about that when I can get something that is made for my truck from Sonoran Steel. I'm thinking the Toyota Tacoma lift kit from Sonoran Steel is the way to go.

Does anyone have this kit installed on their rig?

Thanks!

Ok guys,

Which should I go with?

Sonoran Steel lift for a Tacoma which towards the bottom of this page...

http://www.sonoransteel.com/store_co..._liftkits.html

OR

Old Man Emu setup with 880s coupled with N91S or N91SCs and N85s in the rear with Dakar Leafs?

The OME setup will save me like 500 bucks but I do realize it is much less in quality and flexibility then the Sonoran Steel lift which as adjustable shocks.

I think I'd go ahead and mount a diff drop with the OME setup as well as I'm going to get around an inch of lift out of it and I've heard the diff drop is easy to do (just two bolts?).

Is the diff drop a waste of time for an inch lift?

Also...I like the fact that the Sonoron Steel lift comes with EVERYTHING I'd need to get the job done. I don't know what else I'd need with the OME setup??

Front Coils
Front Shocks
Rear Leafs
Rear Shocks
Diff Drop Kit
Anything else for the OME lift???

Thanks!!
