She ain't got no more cap'n!!!!!

well, if anyone recalls my post yesterday i relayed the adventures of trying to track down the cause of my trucks hesitation and 0171 code.
yesterday i began to notice the when ever i tried to accelerate from a stop it felt like i was pulling something, no power, and it didnt move foward at idle like it usually did. on the way home i'd stopped at a 4way stop and felt the same sensation. when i gave it a far amount of gas to make sure it wasn't my imagination she shifted into second and died...........deader than a nail.
engine turns over, but it wont start or even try to hit.

the good news? it stopped 200yrds from the mechanics shop i was going to take it to in the first place lol
i called a cousin and we pulled it over to the shop where she's probably getting fixed up.
cyall later!

That code means your rig is running too lean. Try cleaning your MAF sensor with some electrical cleaner, and that should clear your problem up. Try a search and you will find a ton of info on it.

thanx ctb

i'd cleaned the maf and checked the voltage, however, i HAD overlooked the hotwire at the time... i'll probably look at that when i get the truck back.
