Eric- I did this to give much needed room for my shocks. Old pipe was just in the way. I guess I could have just cut it off, but I like this better. Best pics I have of it. Pretty easy to do.

More like '78 at the end of the FJ40's run. Pickups, early Taco's and 4Runners never had that particular emblem. They look way cool on a 3rd gen though -

Bud, does your back window roll down? i was thinking if something happens to my truck, it would be cool to esentially just move the lift gate forward a few feet and reattatch it. And try to keep at least the window functional. I don't know just a thought. Anyway, looks cool, kind of like that guy with the red one.

 

Thanks! I painted them with VHT Polyurethane Wheel Paint. Of course a lot more prep work was involved than just spraying them (sanding, wiping, priming), but for the most part it is a pretty easy mod. I think I have a thread going about it but the pictures might be down by now. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I showed these two pics to my gf telling her what my runner will look like someday and she told me that mine would look wiener next to yours and that yours was hot and mine was.... then she stopped talking because she saw my reastion...

No problems with fumes. It does get loud but I like it that way!
