Solid Axle Swap. Cutting the Independent Front Suspension off the front of your truck and welding a solid axle in instead for better articulation. It is great for running trails but if you need to do a SAS you are on trails were body damage is expected.

yeah, just read over that swap page and i can afford all that fab work, and dont really have the tools to do it myself at home, and figuring out what parts needed for the steering and stuff. IFS it is.

in north america, the last year of the straight axle was 1985. pretty much everywhere else it was an option until 1997 or so

geez every day I hear of something new that we are getting screwed about, no skylines, no CTR's no RSX-R's, finally an EVO and STI, no turbo deisels in the yotas, no more straight axles, crappy deisel compared to everywhere else, etc. etc.

I do like though that having spring over axle right there will give you some good lift, do you use the stock old runner leafs and stuff or do you have to pretty much build a frank with parts form lots of different donors?
