SAG gears

I just called to check on prices for gears from Superior Axle and Gear. The price for the rear gear ('91 V6 truck) was $160, and the install kit was $160:eek: This is from Central4WD. The guy said the gears were the same for the V6 and 4-cylinder apps, and that only the install kits were different, but this goes against what I have generally heard. I have read that the 4 cylinder gears will fit, but they are generally not strong enough for the V6. What say you all? I am disappointed, because I actually felt good about going with the SAG stuff, after some of the bad things I have read about Genuine and Richmond, and I want to do it right the first time and not have to 'make it work', if you know what I mean.

Last I heard, Precision Gear is still the only company other than Toyota that makes a true V6 gearset, all the others are 4-cyl gears with a spacer.
