Too funny guys.

You might just check the boneyards to see if they have any glass for you cheap. Also be sure to get it steam cleaned at the very least so dad won't see the full brunt of the stupidity (hopefully go a little easier on ya).

On about the 5th try, he was floorin it and i looked back and heard a huge crash.... a rock got shot, and took my whole rear window with it. Then the inside of my truck got showered with mud, all the way up to the window.
so it's sounds to me like he won the battle. goto www.1sttoyotaparts.com and you should be able to get a price from there.

the heavy duty one is $309 and the regular one is $167.18.

EDIT: These are OEM windows and for the record I have an aftermarket rear window and it's been there since July 2000 and I've had no problems and it looks just like OEM so even if you can find an aftermarket one, it's ok to do. other parts are a different story.

About the dad thing, he was a kid too at one time so remind him of that.

sO SAD, but over the years i have learned to not let my vehicles dictate my mood. It doesn't help, so just clean up and fix...life goes on. sorry by the way that sucks

At least nobody was hurt. Windows and parts can be replaced, people cannot. Now, if dad decides to take you out, then that's another story altogether...

Just do the turboale/keisur rear window mod... works like a charm and dad will NEVER notice! Wheel'n approved. Worked like a charm, you just have to worry about backign into twigs, but other than that I could barely tell!!

Ever read anything by Darwin?

I hope so, how high do you have to be before you say, hey man can you back up to my rig, and sling mud all over it! WTF? That’s not fun that’s fu$&ing stupid. I think it serves you right that your window is broken and your interior is a mess. Every time you get in your rig and see the mud stains you will be reminded how big of a dumb ass you and your friend are. I hope he knocked the clutch out of his Heap also. This is why I use condoms, if I had a kid that said, well uh dad I asked Johnny to back his Jeep up to the 4runner in a mud hole and sling mud all over because I thought it would be cool, I would get put in jail. WTF, your really not serious about this one are you? If so it bothers me that someone with this mentality has a driver’s license.

I have USAA and they cover all glass, including lights for free (at least my policy does). Give them a call.

damn dude... what side of whos bed did you wake up on?

It doesn't take any lack of brain power to have a friend that wants to spray your truck with mud. Before I knew "spraying" was I was down in ga and some friends/friends of friends were out wheeling and they were trying to get me stuck (dumb teens driving domestics) finally I did. In 2wd going backwords through the deepest hole they had. Then one of them says... hey can we spray you? Not knowing what it was... I said sure! next thing I knew I had a good inch of solid mass on one side of the 4Runner. It wasn't the smartest thing I had ever done, but once it started there was nothing I could do about it because I couldn't move (I was finally stuck) and I for damn sure wasn't going to open my door. Everyone makes mistakes, you live and learn.

I know what you mean... a lot of people dont treat thier rigs as nice as they should, but when you are messing around like an idiot then idiotic things will happen to you... in his case, he was not thinking and didnt see the possible consequenses. He learned his lesson and will most likely not make a similar mistake in the future...

Don't worry, you weren't the only one thinking that way. The title of this thread should be changed from "Sad wheeling story" to "Stupid wheeling story!
