S/C finally installed...

The dealer did an excellent job. The power is significantly greater. Does anyone know if the computer needs to reset? It seems to act a little funny sometimes. Especially when accelerating from 70-80mph. Sometimes, I'll mash the accelerator and and the exhaust will make a funny banging noise and I won't go anywhere.

Please confirm that this is just the computer reseting and relearning. If not, I'm off to the dealer again.

Also, they jacked my stickers. Does anyone have pictures of what the stickers look like and how many there are?

Thanks,
Nick

It takes the ecu 150-200 miles to reset. The sound you are hearing is pinging, mine did that the first 100 miles I drove it on the freeway at 70 mph, I have since put another 100 miles on it and my truck hasn't ping'ed since. Let the ecu adjust and if it still pings, you need to do some of the fuel mods.

Did the dealer do the free FMU??

-TRD motor sports sticker
-3 TRD emblems
-3 Supercharged emblems

stickers

Blue,

If the dealer doesn't get you the stickers, I may have a couple to send you. If you're talking about the thick "trd" and "supercharged" stickers, I think I have a couple extra. I'll check.

If I've got them they're yours if you want.

Mike

S/C Stickers

You should also have a sticker for under the hood certifying that the S/C is smog legal in all 50 states.

The dealer did not do the Free FMU mod. The nipples were still on the FPR and the boost port. I went to Autozone and they gave me a small piece of vacuum hose. I just attached it hopefully correctly.

That is a very small space but at least I got a small cut to show my buddies. The dealer also said the stickers and emblems weren't in the box...hmmm. I think he's lying. Anyway, I'm enjoying the power.

Would you guys recommend the deck plate mod? That will probably be next.

Thanks for your responses,
Nick
