Rust Repair

My rear quarter panels around my wheels are rusted out/up an inch or two so I was contemplating cutting out the rusted spots and adding Fender Flares to cover the removed material.

Has anyone done this?
Where can I find affordable Fender Flares?
Any Pics?

Solution Two would be to replace it with metal, Any clues where to buy these. I have looked on the net but only come up complete panels.

I also think that I will cut the bottom sheet metal piece behind the bumper extensions then add sliders under the lowest body line.

Again, any pics of this mod?

I will be doing the same thing with cutting out the rust and using flares to cover the cut out portion....come winter time I will be welding in new quarters(can't find patches either) as well as the flares.

These are the flares I am going to use, $75 for all 4.
