huh, i was under the impression the stuff they throw down here in the springs was just sand and some generic de-icer that didn't have salt in it...guess I could be wrong but it doesn't seem hard on my rig.

What trim did you get? After owning my 02 Sport, I won't buy anything else but the Sport Edition (or Highlander).
Mine's been in Utah for 6 years, and no rust. I knew that $3000 undercarriage rust-proofing the dealership put on was worth it. (kidding)

You're joking, right? I'm not even going to go into the cost difference between the two, but I'd rather take the sheet metal we've got over aluminum any day of the week. If you get a ding wheeling, you can't simply just pop the aluminum body panels out. And since aluminum is brittle, it can cause some major damage with a single bump. It's lightweight and everything, but no thanks.

OK--so i got my New-To-Me 99 4Runner and the top side looks very nice--but once you get under it--you really notice the difference between Salted and Non-Salted. Its not overly bad--but bolts and lower metal parts will be replaced and or Por-15-ed
