Running and looking Better in 2 Hours!

My 4Runner that is.

Running Better- Another seafoam story. Used 1/2 through the brake booster hose and 1/2 in a 1/4 tank of gas. It helpes for sure, but I was dissapointed, I didn't get a big cloud of smoke, just a little. Idle is smoother, less hesitation when I floor it, worth $5 and EASY.

Looking Better- My 4Runner had not been waxed for 2 years, since I bought it. I had a bottle of RED turtle wax laying around and it was warm in the garage so I gave it a try. It was suprisingly easy and helped A LOT!!! It made the color tone more even and gave a nice shine. Of course, it rained today while it was parked outside. Oh well, I got more.

I seafoamed my 98 75Kmiles last week, I didn't get that much smoke, I went through the brake booster also. I took my throttle body off this weekend to change out the d shaped gasket and the TB was pretty dirty. But, the plenum was pretty clean, just a faint golden hue, so it looked like the seafoam did something. I ran 1/3 can in the booster and 2/3s in the tank just under half tank. I noticed a big difference after cleaning the TB and it was pretty easy to do.

Sounds good. My experience with the colored Turtle Wax is that it doesn't hold up as long as most waxes. So, be prepared to wax it again.

Ditto on that. You won't get three months of shine out of a single waxing.

Yeah, 24 hours of rain has got rid of most of the shine, but I will only wax it again for special occasions though, I find myself in the dirt once a week lately, so a wax job is just not practical.
