Running Lean

I woke up sunday morning to go surfing and on my way to the beach my check engine light came on. This has never been a problem previously when my pops drove the truck. I think my driving habits and lead foot have sprung the issue. I went by Advanced Auto Parts and got a code read and there were two codes, both the same, I can't fully remember but something about system 2 lean. When I purchased from my dad I did the D/P and ISR. I've since covered the D/P up. I reset my ECU and the light went off, another 20 miles later came back on. So now I figure I might as well save for the 7th injector, and do a lot of research on the install.
Is there anything I can do for the time being. I've adjusted my driving habits accordingly. Now I'm not letting my RPMs go over 3000. Any quick fixes? thanks guys.

EDIT: I should also add this. Two days before the light came on I was passing a car on a two lane road. As I accelerated past this noise came from the engine and My RPM's dropped off. The noise kinda sounded like and loud click mixed with the sound of a loud blow off valve on a turbo. Really weird. Haven't had any issues since beside the check engine light? Think I could have blown a head gasket?

If you blew an hg at that situation (high rpm and boost at wot) you should have seen some white smoke pouring out of your exhaust at the time. do you have a boost gauge installed? The "sound of a loud blow off valve on a turbo" could have been the charger bov breaking. If you're not releasing boost correctly the charger will cavitate and always throw boost into the motor. better drive it easy and check everything out asap.

The code is P0171 System Too Lean (bank 1). The stealership wanted $90 to diagnose the problem. my dad works at a yota dealership, and he asked the tech there. He said to clean the MAF sensor and erase the code. Hopefully that is the issue.

hopefully...yeah I talked directly with TRD before I got my supercharger. They actually promoted going to URD for the fuel kit, but if you don't you should keep your MAF immaculately clean, install a 160 or 170 deg thermostat, and add waterwetter to your coolant. Hopefully that loud click or pop you heard was some detonation and not something breaking. You're at sea level, so those things should definitely be addressed, as the air down there is much denser.

A little brake cleaner should fix that issue.
If not, you will likely be needing a new MAF sensor.

I was reading up on sea foam. Would this be something I should try as well. Not that this is relating to the MAF.
I'd love to be able to upgrade my fuel right now, but can afford the whole thing, if only URD had a payment plan. Do you think it would be worth it to upgrade my fuel pump?

Every little bit will help but you won't see the full benefit until you have the entire kit installed and tuned.
